By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

Customer Data processed on your behalf
When you use our software or lead-generation services, you or your prospects may submit information about homeowners and other end customers — such as names, contact details, addresses, water test results, proposals, agreements and signatures (“Customer Data”). We process Customer Data on your behalf and under your instructions as a service provider. You are responsible for having a lawful basis and any required notices or consents to collect it and share it with us. See Customer Data & Leads.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide, operate, maintain and improve the Services, including building campaigns, websites, proposals and accounts;
- Process payments, subscriptions, trials and refunds;
- Deliver leads and appointments to you, and route inquiries to the right dealer;
- Respond to questions, provide support and send service-related notices;
- Send marketing communications about our products, where permitted (you can opt out at any time);
- Measure advertising performance and understand how visitors use our websites;
- Detect, prevent and respond to fraud, abuse, security incidents and technical problems;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not sell your personal information for money.
3. Text Messaging (SMS)
If you give us your mobile number and opt in, we may send you text messages about your appointment, account, onboarding, leads or offers. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchase.
We do not share, sell or rent mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except service providers that help us deliver messages.
4. How We Share Information
We share information only as described below:
- Service providers — vendors that host, process or support the Services on our behalf, such as cloud hosting, databases, payment processing (Stripe), CRM and messaging platforms, email delivery, scheduling, analytics and customer support tools. They may use information only to provide services to us.
- Advertising platforms — we share limited event data (for example, that a page was viewed or a purchase was made, sometimes with hashed contact details) with platforms such as Meta to measure and improve our ads.
- Dealers you inquire with — if you are a homeowner who submits a form on a campaign or website we run for a water treatment dealer, your information is delivered to that dealer so they can contact you.
- Legal and safety — when we believe disclosure is required by law, subpoena or legal process, or needed to protect the rights, property or safety of Treat Engine, our customers or others.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business, subject to this policy.
- With your consent — for any other purpose you agree to.
5. Customer Data & Leads
For Customer Data, our customer (the dealer or business using the Services) is the party that decides how that data is used, and we act as its service provider or processor. We use Customer Data only to provide and support the Services, as instructed by our customer, and as required by law. We do not sell Customer Data or use it to market to your customers.
If you are a homeowner and have questions about how a dealer uses your information, please contact that dealer directly. We will assist our customers in responding to your request where required.
6. Cookies & Tracking
We and our partners use cookies, pixels and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember preferences, understand usage and measure advertising. These include:
- Meta Pixel — measures the effectiveness of our Facebook and Instagram ads and helps us show relevant ads.

- Essential and functional cookies — used for checkout, login and security.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can adjust ad preferences in your Meta ad settings or opt out of interest-based advertising at optout.aboutads.info. Some features may not work if cookies are disabled. Our websites do not currently respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals.
7. Data Retention
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services, and afterwards as reasonably necessary to comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
